CONCRETE REPAIR
& PROTECTION

We repair, strengthen and protect reinforced concrete across the North West and Midlands.

Concrete fails for a reason

Treat only the symptom and the problem comes back, often right next to the repair.

We find the cause, agree a specification that suits the structure and the budget, and deliver it to programme with the paperwork a main contractor needs.

WaltBray’s operatives bring hands-on concrete and waterproofing experience to every package.

Why contractors work with us

Survey-Led Scoping

We confirm the extent of defects before pricing, so the scope holds once work starts.

Programme aware delivery

We plan around other trades, access restrictions and phased handovers.

Paperwork in Order

RAMS before we start, progress photos during the works and a clear record at handover.

Concrete and water under one roof

Repairs and waterproofing from the same team, with no gap between the two packages.

What we do

Concrete
Deck Repair & Waterproofing

Car park decks, podium slabs, roof decks and balconies take constant exposure to water, de-icing salts and traffic. Once water gets through the surface, it attacks the reinforcement and leaks into the level below.

We survey the deck, repair the damaged concrete and seal it with a waterproof coating or membrane. Work can be phased so the building stays open while we're on site.

Repair and protection

Before we repair, we find out why the concrete failed. Typical checks include visual and hammer surveys, cover meter readings to locate the reinforcement, and testing for carbonation and chloride levels.

We then break out the defective concrete, treat the reinforcement and rebuild the section with repair mortars or flowable concrete. A protective coating goes on last to slow further deterioration.

Hand-applied and flowable repair mortars

Cracks in concrete, brickwork and stone let water in and weaken the structure. Injection fills the crack from the inside, giving a strong repair that barely shows on the surface.

We use epoxy resins where the aim is to bond the structure back together. Where the priority is stopping an active leak, we use flexible or expanding resins, and our waterproofing background puts us in a strong position for that work.

Water-stopping injection to basements and below-ground structures

Corrosion management

Repairing only the visible damage can leave the surrounding concrete at risk, and corrosion can even speed up next to a fresh repair. A corrosion management strategy protects the whole element, not just the patch.

We recommend an approach to match the life the client needs from the structure, from cost-led short-term repairs to long-term protection.

Migrating corrosion inhibitors

Plant rooms, service areas and industrial floors need surfaces that resist water, chemicals and wear, and are easy to keep clean.

We apply resin and cementitious floor coatings, detailed around plinths, pipework supports and plant bases, with upstands to contain spills and leaks.

Systems from manufacturers contractors know

We use repair, injection and coating systems from Sika and Mapei installed in line with the manufacturer’s guidance.
